    Every rainy season, our compound floods. How do you prevent water from building up?

    First, make sure the gutters are clear. Blocked drains cause half the floods.

    We raised our compound entrance with sandbags. It reduces inflow from the street.

    Sloping the ground helps. If the compound tilts toward the gate, water flows out.
